Designed by Mario Trimarchi, Croce (Cross) is an attempt to impart a contemporary look to an object that seems to have almost vanished from our homes. Croce is an iconic symbol and immediately recognisable, proposed here in a state of dynamic tension thanks to being inclined with respect to the wall and to the presence of its black shadow.

Tonfisk

Tonfisk is owned, operated and designs created by Tony Alfström and Brian Keaney. Tony from Finland and Brian from Ireland, met while studying ceramic and glass design. They were drawn together by their common interests in exploring and developing new ideas. Bored of seeing just more variations of the same, the established Tonfisk Design in 1999, to market and produce objects which are not mere variations.

Tonfisk belives that there is in all people an appreciation of creativity and inspiration: in other words, ideas Tonfisk's motto is: "Form follows function doesn't..." built on Louis Sullivan's functionalist dictum states the very obvious, but in spite of its cliché-status it describes the fundament of their design philosophy. Tonfisk products are created with a vision of not producing yet another shape but a whole new idea.

Tonfisk's products are now part of several touring exhibitions on Scandinavian Design including the "Scandinavian Design Beyond the Myth' which has toured throughout Europe and also Tonfisk's prducts have been featured in several recently published books on Scandinavian design including New Scandinavian Design and Scandinavian.
